When we met Mario Batali back in 1998 he was a young, energetic, imaginative chef with a single off-the-charts restaurant in New York’s West Village called Pò. He was writing his first cookbook and brought Memo on board.
The Mario Batali “look” is a constant evolution, and we work closely with his in-house Creative Director Lisa Eaton to create strong restaurant branding, art direct his cookbooks and design event materials. Whether it’s for a book or a restaurant, we want to convey the unique quality of Mario’s cuisine along with his singular talent and personal style. Since 1998, we’ve designed all of his nine books and several of his restaurant brands . . . and it’s not over yet.
