Restaurateurs Jin Ahn and Chung Chow sought to recreate the food and overall experience of their highly praised East Village restaurant Noreetuh in a food hall environment. 

A food hall’s compact service space creates the challenge of having to communicate a brand message and vision in a very small area, while at the same time competing with many other dining options.

We helped the Huli Huli team articulate their brand mission of providing a moment of tropical escape in the middle of a frenzied grey city. This obviously took its cues from their food: fresh, bold flavors with a fun, tropical twist. 

Their brand design echoes these ideas with familiar, iconic imagery – nothing cliché or retro – to serve powerful, simple clues about the food and experience about to be savored.
